These photos were taken along the Overland Track in Tasmania.
We spent 6 days hiking along the other-worldly trail, encountering less than a handful of people along the way.
It is a wild and free place, untouched by the hand of man. The water is so fresh that you can drink it without treating it… I can’t say I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing that anywhere else…
We experienced a taste of freedom, of peace and the humbling effect of pure nature.
To me, these photos represent the relationship between man(woman) and the natural world. The female body and its curves parallel those found in nature, fitting snugly within the environment. In a world where we are constrained to structures of concrete, metal and plastic, we must ask ourselves; what became of our legacy of living freely in the wild?
