Tasmania

In March of 2011, I went to Tasmania to hike the Overland Track. It was one of the most beautiful and wild places I have been to in a long time.

So fresh is the water that you can drink out of the streams without having to filter or treat it.

Surprisingly few people know that Tasmania is pat of Australia. It has amazing vineyards run by ex-pat french winemakers, delicious Bruny Island cheeses and untouched landscapes that extend as far as the eye can see..

Hitch-hiking early in the morning led me to this spot in a Valley near Bridport.

Bridport Morning

Looks like a sprawling landscape, but these are just shrubs a few inches high.

Clouds along the beautiful Overland Track.

Another sunrise at Birdport. Missed the bus because of this one.
